Clarity and How to Get It: Connecting with Your Inner Being
Clarity is a connection between you and… well, you. It comes when you allow yourself to be still, to pause, and to connect with your inner being. In those rare moments of stillness—where judgment is set aside—you can open yourself to a greater understanding of who you are and the path ahead.
Our mind has two sides, each with its own purpose. The lower mind tries to keep us safe and comfortable. It’s our protector, the part that urges us to take fewer risks, stick with what’s familiar, and avoid the unknown. This part of us is always trying to steer the game, doing what it thinks is best to keep us grounded, comfortable, and protected.
But there’s also the higher mind, which has a very different mission. This part of us is all about exploration and growth. The higher mind urges us to step outside of our comfort zones and embrace new perspectives. It doesn’t need to ask "how" or "why"; it trusts without questioning and believes without needing evidence. When we align with our higher mind, we are holding our universe within and our earth in our hands, empowered to shape our lives in new, expansive ways.

Asking and Trusting to Find Clarity
Clarity comes when you’re connected with yourself and can ask with a genuine intention for the answers you seek. Belief and trust in yourself are hidden strengths within the mind, and they get stronger when you release old baggage and limiting beliefs. Holding on to outdated emotions, past experiences, or self-doubt clouds the mind, but as you let go, clarity and purpose can flow in more freely.
There are many ways to release this old baggage. I’ve found breathwork and healing meditations helpful, and I’ve spent years working through these practices. But one method stands out for me as the most transformative: detox and fasting. When you stop eating and give your body a rest, you become lighter. Your mind becomes unburdened and able to focus on different, higher tasks, creating a sense of clear thinking and clearer vision.
Detoxing for Clarity: Fasting as a Reset
The food we eat isn’t always nourishing; much of it is marketed for profit, and not all of it is what the body truly needs. Your body is far more sensitive than most of us realize, sensitive not only to food but also to the energies around us. Our whole system—the mind, body, and spirit—is intricately connected, and it needs a bit of cleaning or clearing now and then. Think of it like a spring cleaning for your internal self. Fasting and detoxing help you become more aligned and help bring clarity as you lighten your physical body and clear your mental space.
When you reduce the heavy load on your system, your inner being, the pillar of light within you, shines brighter. You gain a renewed sense of direction, freed from the fog created by physical and emotional clutter.
Practices for Cultivating Clarity
To experience this kind of clarity:
Practice Stillness: Create moments of quiet, free from judgment or inner chatter. Meditation, deep breathing, or simply sitting in nature can help silence the noise.
Release the "How": Let go of the urge to question every step. Trust that clarity doesn’t always arrive in a rational package; sometimes, it’s just a feeling you follow.
Detox and Fast: Give your body time to rest from processing food. When the body is lighter, the mind can focus on higher goals with a renewed sense of purpose.
Tune into Your Inner Guidance: Pay attention to those gut feelings and intuitive pulls. They’re often subtle nudges from your higher mind, pointing the way forward.
Embrace Trust and Faith: Believe that your inner being knows the way, even if you can’t see the whole path yet. The higher mind’s guidance isn’t always logical, but it’s deeply aligned with your true self.
In the end, clarity is about listening deeply to yourself, trusting in what you find, and letting go of any need for external validation. The path ahead becomes clearer when you’re connected with your true essence and willing to let that inner light lead the way.
